In order to seize the opportunity of upgrading China-Latin American Free Trade Agreement and deepen cooperation in such fields as equipment export driven by contracted projects, international production capacity and infrastructure construction, foreign trade import and export, Zhang Xingcheng, deputy director-general of Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, led a delegation to Mexico, Panama and Peru from April 8 to 18, 2019. 
        During the visit, a series of substantive achievements were made in the activities of visiting work talks, organizing economic and trade cooperation exchange meetings, conducting on-the-spot research on overseas enterprises, etc. Working talks were held with Elskes, director-general of Economic Development Bureau of Tijuana, Anhe, vice president of FINSA Industrial Park Group,Avila, secretary general of Panama Maritime Authority, Manuel,  district head of Panama Free Trade Area and Alberto,section chief of Peru Investment Promotion Agency, on industrial investment, industrial park and infrastructure construction, port interconnection, free trade zone construction and trade We should strengthen cooperation and reach consensus.
        With Cámara De Comercio De La Ciudad De México and Camara De Comercio Peruano China, Shandong-Mexico economic and trade cooperation exchange meeting and Shandong-Peru economic and trade cooperation exchange meeting were held respectively. More than 70 enterprises from Shandong, Mexico and Peru participated in the meeting. They investigated and inspected the key cooperation projects such as Hisense Group's Tijuana home appliance industrial park project in Mexico, Landbridge group's Panama port construction project,Yanjian Group's emergency center construction project in Peru, Railway No.10 Engineering Group's Bureau Lima road reconstruction project, etc. And some suggestions are put forward to grasp the opportunity of China-Latin America cooperation, deepen cooperation, speed up localized operation, build brand tree image, cultivate multinational companies from Shandong Province, and prevent all kinds of risks. They exchanged with the relevant principals of Mexico branch of Bank of China, Peru representative office, Peru branch of industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Peru working group of China Development Bank, and expanded the financing channels of overseas enterprises.
        During the visit, the delegation also visited Economic Commercial Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Mexico and Economic Commercial Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Peru,and exchanged views on deepening economic and trade cooperation between our province and the two countries.——Article source: Shandong International Business Network
